Full Time Senior Pastor: Mentone Community Church is a church located in Mentone, AL. The church averages about well over 100 in worship. The church is healthy and has shown consistent annual growth. They have a very active youth group and strong worship/music ministry. The church has several buildings, office building, including a Family Life center/gym as well as a fully remodeled parsonage.

The church is looking for a full-time pastor who has a track record of leading a growing congregation of 100+. The gift mix should include high relationship skills, leadership, and team building. The position is full-time and the church has a team of both paid and volunteer leaders who will serve alongside the pastor in ministry. The church is a rural congregation with both white/blue-collar. It would be helpful if the applicant understood the southern/Alabama culture. The church is located on the South Coastal District of The Wesleyan Church.

SKILL SET PRIORITY:

1. People Skills: ability to relate well with people, to connect church to the community, to visit down town and relate well to folks in the market.

2. Nurturing Skills: Can build up the believers in their faith as well as train believers for ministry.

3. Preaching and Teaching Skills: ability to communicate the gospel in a powerful and impacting way

4. Worship: Can lead or develop the worship time on Sunday morning that can draw the unconnected and inspire and lift believers.

5. Administration: Ability to organize, delegate, plan and strategically set goals and vision for the future.

Pastoral Search for Philadelphia Wesleyan – Bi-vocational Pastor

The Philadelphia Wesleyan Church of Hortense, GA is beginning to pursue a pastoral search. The church is located in Brantley Country Georgia. Their present pastor is concluding over 30 years of effective and fruitful ministry at the church. They are looking for a pastor who understands the rural church, desires to be a long-term pastor, is capable of leading the church in outreach to their community, strong in building and sustaining relationships, a visionary, and ready to serve in a rural bi-vocational setting.

The church has a strong desire to become a community church that reaches young families and children. They desire a pastor who can lead the church in reaching out to people and prepare the church for the next decade of ministry.
